Network congestion and link issues are problematic for network operations teams. These gremlins can be due to increased traffic, a cut fiber, a line card failure, or even a router failure. NorthStar automates congestion management by monitoring the network for traffic pattern changes, computing new paths when needed, and moving traffic in a make-before-manner. In doing so, NorthStar provides traffic management with fully automated closed loop congestion avoidance.
